Hello again! I've missed posting so much but my trip to New York was spectacular to say the least. Pictures to come later, but right now I just thought I'd share my outfit today, complete with many additions from my trip. Even though it's the middle of summer the rules of seasonal dressing often slip me by, as evidenced by my all black ensemble. However, with a few minimal pops of color, I've managed to evade looking too much like I'm stuck in a different season.

Summer Diaries: Day 3

I know I've been extremely sporadic with my posting, first I took a few weeks off for Sound of Music rehearsals and then I quit posting until school ended but this is the last time for the rest of the summer-I promise! Tomorrow I leave for the beautiful New York City and I will be without internet connection for about eight days. But no worries, I will taking outfit posts on a daily basis while I'm there plus a million pictures of the city. When I return, there will be an overload of sights to share with you and I can't wait till then! Ciao for now.

Summer Diaries: Day 2

This is actually not my family but I couldn't find a good picture of us. So apologies to them for using this picture!

Today was absolutely wonderful for so many different reasons and it's days like this that remind me that there is more to life than just having the perfect outfit, hair, or overall outward appearnace. While I sometimes forget that, it's nice to rememeber the other things in life.

1. My amazing friends (We had the best day at Six Flags!)

2. How wonderful my family is, and all they do for me.

3. Constantly being busy doing all the things that I love. (7 Days until New York!)

4. Having a constant creative outlet in this blog and constant inspiration around me such as the wonderful things above.

The Summer Diaries: Day 1

Today marks the first day of my Summer Diaries series! Oddly enough, it was supposed to start yesterday but it completely slipped my mind since I assumed it was still the weekend (because of my general lack of things to do). However I don't have too much time to relax since I've started having eight hour rehearsals right up until we leave for New York. To this I credit the bad quality of these photos because it was too dark to take pictures once I got home. Still, I love the androgynous feeling of this outfit.

While I'm sad to have said goodbye to my friends and this year marked my last year in middle school-summer's finally here!-I can't wait to embrace the three long months ahead of me. In less than two weeks I leave for New York and then it's on to South Carolina and Port Aransas, Tx. There's so much to be excited for before high school rolls around so Monday starts my Summer Diaries series! I can't wait to explore all thats coming armed with one accessory at a time...
